Dermal Fillers
Fillers are used to treat deep wrinkles and depressions, create contours and enhance facial features to achieve a more youthful appearance.
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and soften creases, or enhance facial contours. More than 1 million men and women annually choose this popular facial rejuvenation treatment, which can be a cost-effective way to look younger without surgery or downtime.
Loss of facial volume occurs as a normal part of aging, and deepens smile lines and marionette lines while decreasing fullness over the cheekbones. In the hands of an experienced practitioner at Timeless Expressions Clinics, dermal fillers can help restore volume, diminish wrinkles and generate a natural and more youthful look.
We have several options of fillers to specifically add volume where you need it: Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse.
The Most Common Filler: Juvederm
Juvederm® is a cosmetic treatment referred to as a filler. It’s used to restore facial contours and improve signs of aging. It’s an injectable dermal filler with a base of hyaluronic acid. It’s a treatment that focuses on the face, specifically the cheeks, lips, and around the mouth. Getting treated with JUVÉDERM® helps add volume to different areas of the face without surgery while also temporarily restoring the volume loss beneath the surface.
HOW JUVEDERM® WORKS
Juvederm® products are a smooth consistency gel, compared to some hyaluronic gel products that have a granular consistency. Hyaluronic acid works by holding in water at the injection site and acting as a cushioning agent. It adds temporary volume and a smoother appearance to skin. Juvederm XC products also contain the local anesthetic lidocaine for a more comfortable injection as this numbs the treatment area within seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some questions and answers about this treatment.
You’ll likely get one to two syringes full of dermal filler injected into each area. You may need less or more depending on your specific concerns.
Botox and Dysport work to inhibit muscle movements that control certain facial motions. Fillers correct lines, wrinkles and skin hollowness that are noticeable when the face is at rest.
You should see results the same day of your treatment after your session is complete.
Around 48 hours before treatment, you should stop using topical anti-aging ointments, serums, and creams. This essentially boils down to products that contain glycolic acid, retinoids, retinol, and Retin-A. These can irritate skin and negatively impact your treatment outcomes.
Swelling and bruising usually subside within 24-48 hours. However, hyaluronic acid fillers attract water. So you may have extra fullness in the areas injected, that should resolve within 10-14 days when the results soften, and further enhancements become visible.
